About the Opportunity

As the Senior Project Manager, you will be the advocate for getting quality customer features into production within the agreed upon schedules. You believe that the act of planning is more important than the plan itself. Project management is 80% thinking & collaborating and 20% putting tasks in a schedule. You understand that dates are important, but quality deliverables are more critical to the overall business success. You are someone who sees the patterns in the chaos and knows how to translate those patterns into opportunities to improve our ability to execute efficiently.

What you’ll do

  • Partnering with the business, product, and engineering teams to oversee the execution of projects from conception until launch.
  • Leading regular planning meetings to keep all team members on their relative tasks.
  • Guiding the team on self organization to fill in gaps in the team/skill sets.
  • Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning or dictating the work.
  • Managing initiatives until they are done (Done is defined as in production with measurable usage).

  • Managing expectations by regular communications to the business, product & engineering teams with updates to scope & schedules.
  • Working with business stakeholders to ensure priorities and requirements are identified and fit for purpose.

Who you are

  • At least 8-10 years practical, in-house technical project management experience working on software products with complex flows & use cases.
  • Applied experience running multiple projects in parallel with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Worked in a small growing company.
  • Focus around delivering quality products within expected timeframes.
  • A passion for mentoring teams to deliver better products through proper communication & collaboration.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and industry.
  • Proficiency in using PowerPoint, Keynote, Excel, and Salesforce.
  • A passion for live entertainment.
  • A deep curiosity and ability to consider product strategy and vision. You don’t just care about “getting features to production,” or “streamlining process,” but “why are we designing this at all?”
  • We are looking for someone that can act as a team leader without the dogma of rigid processes.
